Ms. Kvintradze is the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Previously, she was IMF Representative in Bangladesh. Ms. Kvintradze joined the IMF in 2006 as a mid-career economist responsible for designing new lending facilities and debt limit policies for low-income countries. Before joining the IMF, she served as Deputy Minister of Finance and managed foreign debt, including debt-restructuring negotiations. She also worked as Advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank Board (2004-06). Ms. Kvintradze holds a PhD in Economics from Georgetown University, an MA in Development Economics from Williams College, and a BA in International Economics from Tbilisi State University.
